Why choose cast aluminum bronze and not iron?
- It has excellent strength, similar to that of low alloy steels, and excellent corrosion resistance particularly when the oxide layer forms.
- Ultimate tensile strength ois 550mPA and yield strength of 250 MPa
- On the Mohs scale brass ranks between 3 and 4, while steel ranks between 4 and 5. Brass is harder and stronger than iron and less likely to dent, scratch, or break than steel. Its also non ferrous which means no rust which is probably why you need a new set anyway.
We have them cast and finished right here in the USA
